YOU ARE NOT ALONE

MAID Family Support Society is a society of volunteers who have been through Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) with a loved one and have come together to help others. We strive to provide compassionate, lived-experience support and connection to people helping someone they love through the MAID journey or to those who are grieving a loss due to MAID. The support of others can make the path leading up to MAID and the grief following it a little easier for you.

MAID Family Support Society relies entirely on donations to pay for basic things like our website, educational material, banking fees, insurance & postage. We have no paid staff and a small team dedicated to doing all the administrative work required to run a nonprofit. Our volunteers from across Canada give hundreds of hours every year supporting people affected by MAID. Your donation will help ensure that MAID families can find us and ask for support. Contributions will be used to recruit, train and support our volunteers as well as print and distribute pamphlets and flyers to social agencies across Canada.
